Gerry showcases the Burj Al Arab book, commissioned to celebrate the hotel’s 10th anniversary, and a milestone in his architectural photography career.
A towering structure built on a manmade island in the Arabian Gulf, the hotel is sumptuous in every way. 21,000 square feet of 24-carat gold leaf adorns the walls and ceilings, rare marble – including that used by sculptor Michelangelo, and carpets from India and South Africa. Gerry spent three weeks staying at Burj Al Arab, capturing its unique details.
One of the world’s most fascinating hotels, Gerry has returned to photograph it several times, catching it in many lights and seasons.
